Canada and California to work together on cleaner transportation

Canada’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna, and the Chair of the California Air Resources Board, Mary Nichols, today signed a new cooperation agreement to advance cleaner vehicles and fuels. To date, California has invested $820 million in incentives for zero-emission and plug-in vehicles.

US auto dealers sue Mahindra & Mahindra over diesel pickup and SUVs

A group of US automobile dealers filed a lawsuit (Case 1:12-cv-01935-TWT) on 4 June with the United States District Court, Northern District Of Georgia, Atlanta Division accusing the Indian truck manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra, Ltd. Mahindra told the dealers that its light trucks and SUVs were ready for delivery to the US market.

Ford triples number of US dealers certified to sell plug-in vehicles

Ford has tripled to more than 200 the number of US dealers certified to sell its lineup of plug-in electrified vehicles, including the new C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid that is on sale now and delivers the equivalent of 105 mpg combined in electric mode. Ford recently began production of the C-MAX Energi at its Michigan Assembly Plant.
