Merchants Fleet, the nation’s fastest-growing fleet management company, plans to further electrify its portfolio with BrightDrop, the new business backed by General Motors, offering electric first-to-last-mile products and software services. Merchants Fleet expects BrightDrop EV600s to enter its clients’ fleets starting in early 2023.

After four years of development work, the BMW iX5 Hydrogen vehicle and its development project are entering its next phase as the first vehicles enter a pilot fleet of less than 100 vehicles. The fleet is being deployed internationally for demonstration and trial purposes.

TeraWatt Infrastructure hosted a groundbreaking event in Inglewood, California for a new charging site for light-duty fleets in the LA area. Last year, the state approved the Advanced Clean Cars II rule, which mandates that all sales of new light-duty passenger vehicles in California must be zero emission by 2035.

The first in its industry to announce its intent to use EV light-duty vans in the United States, Schindler is committed to net-zero emission by 2040.
