I'd buy EV for fun driving but not for "saving money" ? I have Toyota and it never breaks down, it depreciated 30k rmb in 5 years. If you check second hand EV like hiphi depreciated 200k in 2 years, nio et5 is selling for 170k with just 20k km.

Let's assume you're right and battery is ok for even 10 years, that is still 70000rmb you will have to pay for new one. I live in China and know personally 4 Nio owners, I've driven every Nio available. Don't get me wrong these are fine cars, but bad for our pockets ( same as all EVs ).
