There are now 600 electric buses on on 42 routes overall, and as replacements for traditional buses on 33 of those routes. The conversion of buses to the electric traction will help to increase the share of e-transport rides up to 70%.

Recently the Russian manufacturer KAMAZ started to produce improved electric buses at the SVARZ eco-plant. Moscow’s eco-friendly transport fleet is considered to be the largest in Europe.

Cummins and Isuzu Motors announced an agreement to create a prototype medium-duty, battery-electric truck to demonstrate in North America. Through this arrangement, Cummins will integrate the Cummins PowerDrive 6000 into Isuzu’s F-Series truck and will pilot the truck with prominent North American fleets beginning in 2022.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has released the 2018 Base-year Emissions Inventory Report , as required by Senate Bill 1014 (SB 1014, California Clean Miles Standard). Moscow has deployed its 1000 th electric bus. This electric bus has become the 400 th vehicle purchased with the funds from the green bonds. Electric buses were launched in Moscow in 2018. Each electric bus carries about 85 people. Next year, Moscow plans to buy 600 more electric vehicles.
