Porsche will manufacture the future all-electric version of the fourth-generation Cayenne at Volkswagen Slovakia’s multi-brand location in Bratislava. Prototype of the new Cayenne Porsche has already announced a further all-electric SUV above the Cayenne for the second half of the decade.

Porsche is acquiring a majority stake in the e-bike manufacturer Greyp Bikes. The sports car manufacturer’s venture capital arm, Porsche Ventures, has held a stake of around 10% in the Croatian company since 2018. Its majority takeover of the e-bike manufacturer further expands its activities in the sector.

Porsche is planning to set up its own fast-charging stations offering a premium charging experience along Europe’s most important routes. As a pilot site, the first Porsche Charging Lounge has opened outside Bingen am Rhein. Further Porsche Charging Lounges are currently planned for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Porsche already uses 3D printing technology in prototype construction, manufacturing spare parts for classic sports cars and in other areas. Now, in cooperation with its partners MAHLE and Trumpf, Porsche is now establishing a new milestone in the use of additive manufacturing processes for highly-stressed drive components.

Last year, almost 40% of all new Porsche vehicles delivered in Europe were already at least partly electric—i.e. In 2025, half of all new Porsche sales are expected to come from the sale of electric vehicles—again, all-electric or plug-in hybrid, said Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG.
