VERBIO launches first cellulosic RNG plant in the USA

The VERBIO Nevada (Iowa) Biorefinery began producing renewable natural gas (RNG) on an industrial scale in December 2021. Renewable natural gas from the VERBIO Nevada Biorefinery is injected into an Alliant Energy pipeline before being distributed across the country. The plant in Nevada (Iowa) is our first plant in the USA.

USDA closes on $105M loan guarantee to Fulcrum for biorefinery converting municipal waste to renewable jet fuel; first USDA loan for biojet

Fulcrum licensed its gasification system from ThermoChem Recovery International. USDA is negotiating three additional loans for biorefineries in Iowa, North Carolina and Oregon. The 2014 Bill expands the program to include bio-based renewable chemicals and bio-based product manufacturing.
