BMW deploying iX5 Hydrogen pilot fleet

After four years of development work, the BMW iX5 Hydrogen vehicle and its development project are entering its next phase as the first vehicles enter a pilot fleet of less than 100 vehicles. The BMW iX5 Hydrogen developed on the basis of the current BMW X5 was first unveiled as a concept at the IAA show in 2019.

Stadler and SBCTA sign contract for first hydrogen-powered train in US; FLIRT H2

Stadler and San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) have signed the first contract to supply a hydrogen-powered train to run in the United States. This holds the fuel cells and the hydrogen tanks. The FLIRT H2 is projected to transport passengers with a maximum speed of up to 79 mph (130 km/h).

Coradia iLint hydrogen train receives approval for commercial operation in German railway networks

Alstom’s Coradia iLint ( earlier post ), the world’s first hydrogen fuel cell passenger train, has been granted approval by the German Railway Office (EBA) for passenger service in Germany. The iLint can run at 140 km/h (87 mph), with a 600 to 800 km/tankful autonomy, and accommodate up to 300 passengers.

Flint MTA testing Proterra hydrogen fuel cell bus prototype for one year
