The City of New York will invest $420 million in electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and alternative fuels to accelerate the transition to an all-electric municipal vehicle fleet. New York City operates nearly 30,000 vehicles, the largest municipal fleet in the country.

FLO | AddEnergie has begun shipping 120 EV chargers out of its factory in Shawinigan, Québec, destined for FLO network’s first deployment in New York City. Of the total, 100 chargers will be installed at 34 public curbside locations over the coming months across all of New York’s five boroughs.

Nissan, Infiniti, and Genesis all had events before I even touched down at LaGuardia. With that, auto-show season downshifts from major events until SEMA and LA in the fall.

New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced that New York will utilize the $127.7 Covered vehicles include new buses, trucks, locomotives, ferries, tug boats, and cargo handling equipment, as well as the availability of electric vehicle charging equipment statewide. While there will be twenty-one commercial EVs at the event, the Semi seems to be the highlight of the entire event. The event will also be looking at things like total electric energy and fuel for all trucks on each day, and what that will mean in total energy usage once all Class 8 trucks are converted to EVs.
