Geespace’s terrestrial base station in Korla, China has reported that they have connected the first nine GeeSAT-1 satellites and which are all functioning correctly post launch. Rendering of Geely Future Mobility Constellation. The GeeSAT-1 is the first of many new satellite models from Geespace.

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company recently eclipsed 3 million miles of data from road tests and field trials with its connected tires. Connected tires—those with embedded sensors—are able to “talk” to the vehicle and the road and measure characteristics of the tire, leading to potential enhanced vehicle performance and safety.

Eighteen months after start of construction of its intelligent satellite production and testing center in Taizhou, China, Geely Technology Group has begun mass production of commercial satellites. At full capacity, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 500 units.

Under the agreement, Siemens will become ACC’s preferred supplier in automation, digitalization and electrification technology, enabling ACC to scale-up its production, maximizing plant and energy efficiency. Mercedes-Benz has begun production of the EQS electric sedan at Factory 56 in the Mercedes-Benz Sindelfingen plant. The EQS is integrated into ongoing series production at the site as the first all-electric model. This becomes clear, for example, in the “Fullflex Marriage”, whereby the vehicle body is connected to the drive system.
