Ford reveals E-Transit Courier

Ford Pro recently revealed the E-Transit Courier, a ground-up new all-electric commercial vehicle. Customers will be able to order gasoline- and diesel-engine Transit Courier models from summer 2023 for delivery before the end of the year. To support efficient public charging, the vehicle offers DC fast charge capability up to 100 kW.

Valeo introduces new 48V e4Sport hybrid system; all-wheel drive

At the Paris Motor Show, Valeo introduced another 48V hybrid system, the 48V e4Sport. The system also supports driving in all-electric mode and, when on low-grip surfaces, improving performance by connecting the rear axle to the 48V eRAD electric rear axle drive, effectively transforming the vehicle into a four-wheel drive.

BMW adds all-wheel-drive i5 EV, plug-in hybrid to 5-Series lineup

The automaker confirmed Tuesday that the 2025 BMW 550e xDrive plug-in hybrid will join the lineup for the new model year, along with a third version of the all-electric BMW i5 that launched for 2024 as part of a redesigned 5-Series range. Kia launching new diesel 48V mild-hybrid powertrain in 2018 on Sportage; more models to come

Kia Motors will introduce its first 48V diesel mild-hybrid powertrain in the second half of 2018. The new “EcoDynamics+” powertrain supplements acceleration with electric power from an additional 48-volt battery and extends combustion engine ‘off time’ using a new Mild-Hybrid Starter-Generator unit.

Audi is providing more details on the coming A3 Sportback e-tron plug-in hybrid at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. In electric mode, the A3 Sportback e-tron has a range of about 50 km (31 miles). In purely electric mode, the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron achieves a top speed of 130 km/h (81 mph) with a range of up to 50 km (31 miles).
