Connecticut has selected Allison Hybrid-equipped buses for the state’s new bus-only expressway system, CTfastrak. Scheduled to begin operations in late March, CTfastrak will provide a one-seat, no transfer ride to many major regional employers, shopping and healthcare destinations across central Connecticut.

Natural gas vehicle adoption has been hampered in part by the bulky cylindrical tanks required to house the pressurized fuel; the tanks add weight and reduce storage space in a passenger car or light-duty truck.
