Volkswagen starts operation of $22M North American Battery Engineering Lab in Chattanooga

Volkswagen of America (VWoA) opened its Battery Engineering Lab (BEL) in Chattanooga, to test and optimize batteries for all electric vehicles in the American marketplace. Building the Battery Engineering Lab from the ground up allowed Volkswagen to install highly specialized equipment such as the electrical Multi-Axial Shaker Table (eMAST).

United announces investment in, commercial agreement with Dimensional Energy; CO2-to-SAF

The company began construction on a CO 2 -to-fuels demo in Tucson, Arizona in 2021. At the Tucson site, they are using electricity from the Arizona grid, which gets an increasing amount of power from local solar panels. Commissioning of the facility has already begun, and it is set to begin operation this July.
