The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is designing the Sustainable Transportation Equity Project Program, and will hold its second program design workgroup in Los Angeles later this month. The Low Carbon Transportation program is part of California Climate Investments.

The California Air Resources Board last week approved the final proposed 2022 Scoping Plan ( earlier post ), a roadmap to reduce demand for petroleum by 94%, cut air pollution by 71%, reduce greenhouse gas emissions 85%, and reach carbon neutrality by 2045. Fuels: the energy source used to power vehicles and the facilities that produce them.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, will expand the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) ( earlier post ) London-wide. The expansion will come into effect on 29 August 2023 and will operate across all London boroughs up to the existing Low Emission Zone boundary for large and heavy vehicles. When fully implemented, the e-trucks will reduce Danfoss’ scope 1 and 2 emissions in Denmark by 10-15% with the added benefit of next to zero noise and air pollution, thereby ensuring an improved working climate for drivers. With this transformation, Danfoss will be the first company in Denmark to have a 24-hour truck in operation.
