General Motors is voluntarily expanding the current Chevrolet Bolt EV recall ( earlier post ) to cover the remaining 2019 and all 2020-2022 model year vehicles, including the new Bolt EUV. GM will replace defective battery modules in Chevrolet Bolt EVs and EUVs with new modules, with an expected additional cost of approximately $1 billion.

The Kolkata Police has announced that it is going to add 226 electric vehicles into its fleet in order to counter rising diesel prices and to escalate the maintenance costs of diesel-powered vehicles. At present, the Kolkata Police has 4,000 vehicles that are regularly hired for special law and order duties.
