UPS plans to build an additional five compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations and add more than 700 new CNG vehicles including 400 semi-tractors and 330 terminal trucks. UPS will have invested more than $1 billion in alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles and fueling stations from 2008 through 2018.

First 100% Synthetic Fuel Passenger Jet Flight

South Africa-based Sasol recently provided the synthetic jet fuel for the first passenger aircraft flight fully fueled by a synthetic fuel; demonstrations of aviation synfuels have so far been using 50% blends with petroleum-based jet fuel. Tambo International Airport have flown using Sasol’s semi-synthetic jet fuel.

EDF launches subsidiary Hynamics to produce and to market low-carbon hydrogen

ICCT study finds increasing gap between rated and actual passenger car fuel consumption in Europe
