Teijin Frontier develops first tire cord made from eco-friendly adhesive and recycled polyester

Due to its use of an adhesive polymer compound instead of RF, the new tire cord reduces the environmental impact of adhesive processing. Its chemically recycled fibers, which are made from polymers produced with a chemical recycling method, maintain their strength, fatigue resistance, dimensional stability and heat resistance.

Avantium acquires Liquid Light; electrocatalysis to convert CO2 to chemicals

Novozymes and Cargill have collaborated on renewable acrylic acid technology since 2008. Both companies have worked to develop microorganisms that can efficiently convert renewable feedstock into 3-hydroxypropionic acid (3-HP), which is one possible chemical precursor to acrylic acid.
