Study suggests air pollution may be linked to heightened mouth cancer risk; PM2.5 and ozone

High levels of air pollutants, especially fine particulate matter (PM 2.5 ) and to a lesser extent, ozone, may be linked to a heightened risk of developing mouth cancer, suggests a study by a team of Taiwanese researchers. Diagnoses of mouth cancer were then linked to local area readings for air pollutants taken in 2009.

New hybrid electric ferry launches in Taiwan with Visedo electric propulsion system

Berkeley Earth study calculates that air pollution contributes to 1.6M deaths per year in China

In an analysis of hourly air pollution data (PM 2.5 ,PM PM 10 , SO 2 , NO 2 , O 3 and CO) from more than 1500 sites in China, Berkeley Earth has calculated that the observed air pollution contributes to ~1.6 million deaths/year previously estimated from a Huai River study using Chinese air pollution measurements and mortality data.
