BP and Johnson Matthey license Fischer-Tropsch technology to waste-to-biofuels producer Fulcrum BioEnergy for biojet

BP and Johnson Matthey (JM) have signed an agreement with Fulcrum BioEnergy to license their Fischer Tropsch (FT) technology to support Fulcrum’s drive to convert municipal solid waste into biojet fuel. The novel reactor system combines an optimized catalyst with a unique fixed-bed tubular reactor geometry.

Bi-fuel evolutions of the LEVC TX taxi and VN5 van; range extender engines run on LPG/biopropane and CNG/biomethane

The LEVC TX and VN5 are manufactured by London EV Company (LEVC), a subsidiary of Geely. Biomethane and biopropane can both be made from waste feedstocks such as food waste, farm waste and sewage and both are in volume production already. All of these fuels are available today and also offer 30-50% operating cost savings.

Purolator to invest $1B to electrify Canadian network; 3,500+ electric delivery vehicles

Ford extends Transit Plug-In Hybrid Van trial to Cologne

Funded by Ford, the trial will initially run for 12 months, in cooperation with municipal fleets serving the public sector, complementing testing in London, UK and Valencia, Spain with larger fleets and small-to-medium fleets respectively. Ford recognizes Cologne as a city of strategic importance regarding future mobility.
