Looking ahead to the 2024 calendar year, Honda has laid out some of its plans for the forthcoming 12 months. While we’re sure they’ve still a few things up their sleeve (after all, the phrase “We can’t comment on future product” is a PR mainstay), the news does give us a good idea as to what’s in store – plus a shot of the 2025 Civic Hybrid.

Honda launched global production of a new, state-of-the-art 10-speed automatic transmission at Honda Precision Parts of Georgia, LLC (HPPG) in Tallapoosa, Georgia. The amount adds to the more than $3 billion that Honda has invested in its U.S. of America, Inc. HTM) in Russells Point, Ohio. plants over the past four years.

At the Tokyo Motor Show, Honda Motor Co., unveiled the VEZEL production model. VEZEL, says Honda, offers the dynamic qualities of an SUV, the elegance of a coupe and the functionality of a minivan. In Japan, both hybrid and gasoline models of the VEZEL will go on sale. L direct injection engine.

Honda used CES 2024 to reveal a couple of purely conceptual automobiles and then announced that one of them would serve as the basis for its new EV line coming in 2026. The Saloon looks like a minivan concept from the early 1980s — boasting a wedge shape and tons of glass. We expect a lot about the vehicle to change.

The Nikkei reports that Honda’s Suzuka factory has begun production of hybrid motors for smaller cars. Honda developed with Daido Steel a magnet that does not require heavy rare-earth elements. Honda will continue expanding application of this technology to new models in the future. Earlier post.)

Hachigo was in charge of developing the first-generation of the US-built Odyssey minivan, which was launched in 1999 primarily for the US market.
