GSA announced its initial purchase of more than 100 electric vehicles for a vehicle pilot. million gallons of gasoline, or 385,000 barrels of oil.

The US Department of Transportation (DOT) is awarding $100 million in Economic Recovery Act funding to 43 transit agencies for projects to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from both vehicles and facilities. The project includes quick-charging stations at this terminal layover in route to recharge bus batteries.
