The Peterbilt Model 579EV will deliver the RNG to the Dane County landfill facility, where it will be injected into the natural gas pipeline to be used as clean transportation fuel on the west coast. Peterbilt is showcasing Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide’s new Back-of-Cab (BOC) compressed natural gas (CNG) storage module installed on a Peterbilt 579 truck at the Mid-America Trucking Show. This new BOC module uses Quantum’s Q-lite tank technology and stores 123 DGE (Diesel Gallon Equivalent) of fuel.

Meritor collaborating with Peterbilt on all-electric Class 8 trucks; selects UQM as supplier for e-axles
