Hertz is selling off some of its Tesla models that were formerly rentals, and the vehicles are currently available at some pretty low prices. As part of the Rent2Buy vehicle sales program on its website , Hertz has listed hundreds of its early Tesla rentals for sale at fairly low prices. The vast majority of the inventory vehicles listed are the Model 3, though you can also see a decent amount of Model Y units listed on the web page.

Speculations about Tesla Giga Mexico’s groundbreaking have started. Preliminary work on Tesla’s site for Gigafactory Mexico began before the new year. In late December, work on Nuevo León’s Tesla District started, encompassing the site for Giga Mexico and its surrounding areas. The Government of Nuevo León announced that work has already begun on Tesla Giga Mexico’s entrances and exits along the Monterrey-Saltillio Highway.

The official Las Vegas X account recently posted about a rather unique vehicle that’s been sighted at The Boring Company’s Vegas Loop system. The vehicle was the Cybertruck, which, thanks to its brutalist design and cold steel exterior, definitely fit the Vegas Loop’s futuristic Cyberpunk theme. As could be seen in the video posted by the City of Las Vegas , the all-electric pickup truck looked like it was able to maneuver fairly easily through the Vegas Loop’s rather narrow tunnels.

Tesla has launched an additional wrap color as part of its Paint Protection Film (PPF) offerings, alongside seven others that were launched just months ago. In October, Tesla launched its first PPF wrap program for the Model 3 and Model Y, and the company’s online shop now shows an eighth color available, dubbed Satin Abyss Blue. At the time of writing, the new wrap color is available for $6,000, which is the same price as four of the other protective film colors.

Stellantis and CATL’s battery factory in Europe may be located in Spain. Stellantis is in the midst of picking the location of its fourth battery factory in Europe. The legacy automaker will work with CATL in the next battery plant. In November 2023, Stellantis and the Chinese battery supplier signed a Memorandum of Understanding stating CATL would provide lithium-iron-phosphate battery cells and modules to the legacy OEM.

Tesla has proposed to help Palo Alto upgrade the Standford Research Park’s (SRP) electric infrastructure. In 2023, Palo Alto officials set their sights on improving the city’s electric infrastructure to become carbon neutral by 2030. Tesla has submitted a proposal to the city that may speed up a part of the project.
