Argonne National Laboratory will host a public webinar on the challenges of recycling Li-ion batteries and possible solutions. Qiang Dai, sustainability analyst at Argonne, will show how anyone can measure the costs of recycling lithium-ion batteries and how the process affects the environment with Argonne’s free EverBatt tool.
Our webinar provides you with a nuanced understanding of the crucial role of location technology and data in crafting an effective EV charging location strategy. Discover how location analytics serves as the key in developing a future-proof EV infrastructure strategy, minimising the total cost of ownership.
In addition, the International Energy Agency forecasts highly attractive costs of around six cents per kilowatt-hour for methanol. Fraunhofer is running a webinar on “Methanol as a sustainable hydrogen carrier” using methanol reformers on 30 March. Methanol has a very high energy density—producing around 4.8
The cost of electrifying commercial fleets can be a significant barrier. Although many millions of dollars in electric vehicle grants are available each year to help with the cost of going electric, the grant programs are often complex, and the application process is time-consuming and very competitive.
The free-to-attend conference will feature live presentations, interactive Q&As, on-demand webinars, and whitepaper downloads. Applications are sought for technology and business solutions that will help establish a business case, mitigate the cost of hydrogen fuel infrastructure, supplement utility industry evaluations of introducing hydrogen generation on their grids, and demonstrate fuel cell-battery electric hybrid truck technologies.
To help you on the path toward workplace charging, Plug’n Drive is hosting a webinar on the topic June 3 at 1 PM. Register for the Lead the Charge: Workplace Charging Webinar June 3 | 1 PM. You can receive 50% of the eligible project costs to a maximum of $5,000 per station. Lessons learned through case study examinations.
There are several considerations you need to account for: LEAD THE CHARGE WORKPLACE CHARGING WEBINAR FEB. This can be done several ways; employee surveys, webinars, internal forums and news bulletins to name a few. The main factor that will impact the cost of your installation is where your charging stations will be located.

For the first time, the report also considers how the cost of pre-processing and transporting biomass to the biorefinery may impact feedstock availability. New to the 2016 report is novel assessments of potential biomass supplies from algae, from new energy crops (miscanthus, energy cane, eucalyptus), and from municipal solid waste.
Autovista Group experts will explore the EV outlook with Autovista24 editor Tom Geggus in an upcoming webinar. How has the technology developed in terms of total cost of ownership (TCO)? Autovista Group experts explore the EV outlook with Autovista24 editor Tom Geggus in a webinar. In a new webinar, Autovista Group experts uncovered key EV market trends. During the webinar, Ruhland explained the complexities of calculating TCO.
Our experts will also cover relative running costs of ICE versus EVs, embodied carbon in EVs, and ethical questions about mineral mining. Please visit our webinar page for more details and to register for the real-time cast. This session will provide a full 101 on the truth about EV batteries and where this technology is heading.
When we talk about fleet vehicles, I tell them that even though the initial purchase price for an EV is higher, the overall lower total cost of ownership will demonstrate fiscal responsibility to taxpayers. Some of the webinars I’ve viewed are way over my head, but fascinating enough to keep me intrigued.
Lower maintenance and fuel costs, however, will mean a two-year payback. Proterra , a competing company that sells a completely electric bus , says it can undercut the total cost of ownership of a regular bus by around $310,000 over a twelve-year period. Though $155,000 seems awfully cheap for lithium-ion battery packs.
Lower Total Cost of Ownership Driving Adoption The shift toward EVs is also influencing ownership costs. According to McKinsey & Company , the total cost of ownership (TCO) for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) is projected to outperform internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles across all classes by as soon as 2025.
The agency also recently presented a series of webinars on electrification for fleet operators. Let’s get ahead of that and start talking about what the true costs are, and let’s talk about the timing. Since 2010, OUC, a municipally-owned public utility, has installed hundreds of public charging stations, some powered by solar arrays.
Currently, battery costs are one of the main barriers, but these barriers are declining as usage and production increase while new technologies and materials continue to push down costs. Electricity costs are relatively inexpensive. by: Jonathan Read, President and CEO, ECOtality June 24, 2008 ECOtality CEO Jonathan Read.

Development of the plan also included public engagement including over a dozen workshops, webinars or public meetings over the past year. That broad-based coordination lays the foundation for a whole of government approach to future implementation.
The survey revealed several key themes: some 75% of respondents said electric utility grid limitations were a “significant roadblock to the rollout of EV charging infrastructure for commercial EV usage,” and 63% cited the total cost of charging infrastructure as a significant roadblock.
