car2go North America, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler North America Corporation, will add 30 smart fortwo electric drive vehicles (EV) to the car2go Portland, Oregon carsharing network. The EVs will join the 250 smart fortwo cars that were introduced when car2go launched in Portland on 31 March 2012.

The Hertz Corporation, which includes the Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty brands, has expanded of its Green Traveler Collection car rental fleet to include the 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid ( earlier post ) in select cities across the US. All of the Green Traveler cars have fuel efficiency ratings starting at 33+ highway mpg.

How these MPG estimates made it through Ford corporate is beyond me! The C-MAX is a well-built car, with extremely inflated EPA estimates. South Portland, Maine. Real-world MPG estimates should have been promoted in the mid-30’s. Maybe it was the rush to go to market? I have been accused of not knowing how to drive hybrid.
