DOE to award Thar Energy $9.4M to help advance more efficient supercritical-CO2-based power cycles

The US Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) has selected Thar Energy, LLC to develop new recuperator technologies leading to more cost-effective and efficient supercritical carbon dioxide (SCO 2 )-based power cycles. DOE will contribute $9,394,828 toward the overall project cost of $11,743,535.
