Audi Hungaria, in cooperation with E.ON r has used only green power. In 2012 Audi’s Hungarian plant opened a geothermal facility to supply most of its heat requirements. Audi Hungaria: Photovoltaic system on the roofs of the two logistics halls. Since the start of this year, all Audi plants have used only green power.

In April, Audi launched the Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron ( earlier post )—the first compact electric SUVs from the brand. Audi is now adding two new versions to the range—the Q4 Sportback 40 e-tron, the model with the longest range in the series; and an all-wheel-drive version, the Q4 45 e-tron quattro.

Audi is adding a new member to its A3 family: the A3 Sportback 30 g-tron natural gas vehicle. Operation with natural gas or biomethane makes the compact model economical and more climate-friendly with low emissions. Audi first introduced an A3 Sportback g-tron in 2014. Lower costs, lower emissions.

Audi has set the goal of successively reducing vehicle-specific CO 2 emissions by 30% by 2025 compared with reference year 2015 and over the entire product lifecycle. Many new vehicles that leave the Audi plants in Germany are delivered with R33 fuel—a blend comprising one-third renewable components. Audi plants’ filling stations transitioned to R33 Blue Diesel ( earlier post ) last year; Audi has now introduced the gasoline counterpart, R33 Blue Gasoline.

The first Audi Q8 e-tron drove off the production line at the Brussels plant yesterday, 14 December, marking the beginning of an era for the new top model in Audi’s electric SUV range. The plant has been a model for sustainable production since the production of the Audi e-tron began. 2018 saw the birth of the Audi e-tron.
