The section held a first-of-its-kind workshop in January at the University of Technology in Kingston. IEEE Senior Member Fawzi Behmann and staff from the IEEE Communications Society promoted the workshop to section and society chapter members. The event attracted more than 200 participants.

In a series of media workshops this week at the Gläserne Manufaktur in Dresden, Volkswagen will provide more insight into the technology of the ID. Volkswagen will build the series production models of the ID family in Saxony. The Gläserne Manufaktur began building the Volkswagen e-Golf back in April 2017.

The modular electric platform (MEB) the three vehicles share will underpin all future Volkswagen-branded EVs. Volkswagen’s goal is to build 15 different VW EVs globally by 2025.
