The easiest conversions are for 2004-2008 Prius (not 2001-2003 Prius) and the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner Hybrid. Conversions are limited to certain vehicle types.

Volkswagen CEO says "Future belongs to electric cars," has gained German government support for development. Its not in todays Prius and we wouldnt expect that in the future. Expects production around 2014.
