These initial 125 EVs will be maintained at Ryder’s state-of-the-art maintenance facilities within the California, New York, and Illinois markets where EV charging stations are being installed. Ryder also plans to equip its maintenance facilities in the San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento, and San Jose, Calif.

Lightning Systems, a developer of electric powertrains for commercial fleets, introduced a new all-electric Low Cab Forward model for commercial and government fleets in the Class 6 segment. Orders are being accepted immediately, and delivery of the new product will begin in the fourth quarter of 2018.

MHDs are typically managed at fleets, although fleet sizes can range from 10 to 1,000 to 10,000 to 100,000 vehicles. Electric school buses equipped with vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology also have tremendous potential as “batteries on wheels” that can store electricity and provide it to the grid or to buildings when needed.

My EV battery is warrantied for a minimum of 100K miles and eight years.

Buzz Solutions Bringing any technology into the mix that allows more frequent and better inspections is good news. Now for the bad news. That takes them away from their jobs of doing maintenance in the field. before they happen.

Laredo Bus Facility Solar Canopies: Provide shade structures with integrated, grid tied photovoltaic cells to be erected on the bus storage lot at the Laredo Bus Maintenance Facility. It would also fund stationary fuel cells to provide primary and emergency back-up power for the bus maintenance and storage facilities.
