A new crop of tiny electric cars is changing the game and offering options we’ve never had before. I’m talking about Low Speed Vehicles (LSVs) , the official term for what many people call Neighborhood Electric Vehicles (NEVs). But it doesn’t have to be that way. Err, actually, I probably shouldn’t call them “cars”.

GM will introduce the Chevrolet Volt extended range electric vehicle with a starting MSRP of $41,000; after applying the Federal income tax credit of $7,500, the price drops to $33,500.
