A consortium of cleantech companies, led by AllCell Technologies, unveiled an off-grid solar charging station in Amman, Jordan. Jordan lacks fossil fuel resources and imports more than 90% of its energy. The station is located at the El-Hassan Science City, and will be open for public tours and educational programs in the near future.

The zappi was the first charger in the world to fully integrate with self-generated renewable energy, allowing customers to charge at zero marginal cost from their microgeneration.
