I had one of the axial flux motors that had the splined output shaft and planned to use it in my original motorhome conversion because that was what it was originally designed to do, a heavy vehicle drive motor, but I lost it in the workshop fire.

Purchase price was $ 650.00 with a blown motor on 7/15/2009, the seller bought this truck at an auction, untested, just to discover that it has a serious problem, blown piston ,rings, or valves, who knows, it did run but smoke, whooiee!!!
