The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has released the draft 2022 Climate Change Scoping Plan —the third update to the state’s initial 2008 Scoping Plan. The draft 2022 Climate Change Scoping Plan was developed by the California Air Resources Board in collaboration and coordination with multiple state agencies.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) released its initial draft plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40% below 1990 levels by 2030—the most ambitious target in North America. The draft plan analyzes continuing the Cap-and-Trade program, which is currently being used to reach the state’s greenhouse gas reduction goals.
