In the US, diesel never had the same traction, due the abundance of cheap gas. Next year, the EU is tightening its restrictions with a 15% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2025 for both cars and vans. Now, with electrification firmly taking hold, diesel engine development has all but ceased in Europe.

The unit cost of Gas in the UK is 4 times the price of US Gas. – Why, simple the US embraced Fracking to produce bountifully supplies of cheap gas. Price of bread. Kia revealed prices of the new cee’d this week. Starting from £14,395, it’s not as cheap as the old one, but it has a lot more equipment and it’s a much better car. Sounds like a good deal to me.
