BMW delivers first i3 EV in US

The BMW i3 is the first of the BMW i vehicles constructed from the ground up primarily of carbon fiber to enter the US market. With 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque hybrid-synchronous electric motor, the fully electric BMW i3 is electrified by a 22-kWh lithium-ion battery, good for 80-100 miles of emission-free driving.

Wind Explorer EV crosses Australia for less than $15 of electricity; kite-assisted

The vehicle produced virtually zero emissions during the 3,000 mile (4,828 km) Australian journey, a distance roughly 200 miles (322 km) further than from New York City to Los Angeles. BMW launching iX5 Hydrogen pilot fleet

The hydrogen needed to supply the fuel cell is stored in two 700-bar tanks made of carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). Together these hold almost six kilograms of hydrogen, enough to give the BMW iX5 Hydrogen a range of 504 km (313 miles) in the WLTP cycle. Filling up the hydrogen tanks only takes three to four minutes.
