Volvo Cars reported global sales of 51,286 cars in February, up 22% compared to the same month last year and a record for the month of February. The sales growth was led by the company’s Recharge line up of fully electric and plug-in hybrid cars. China sales reached 13,066 cars, up 50% compared with February last year.

Volvo Cars reported global sales of 60,398 cars in May, up 31% compared with the same month last year. The company’s fully electric cars were the main contributor to the growth, rising 196% during the period to 10,826 units (). The share of fully electric cars stood at 18%.

Volvo Cars reported sales of 162,938 cars for Q1 2023, up 10% compared to the same period last year. The sales growth was mainly led by the company’s fully electric cars. For the month of March, Volvo Cars sold 63,132 cars globally, up 8% compared with the same month last year.

Volvo Trucks is delivering 20 fully electric heavy trucks to the logistics company DFDS in Gothenburg, Sweden. The delivery is part of a total order for 125 electric trucks that DFDS has placed with Volvo. Volvo Trucks’ global target is that in 2030, 50% of all new trucks it sells will be electric.
