The distribution of Neste MY Renewable Diesel, produced entirely from waste and residues, has expanded to the Neste Truck network for heavy vehicles in Finland. At the beginning of the year, we launched Neste MY Renewable Diesel at stations for light vehicles, and now we are expanding the product to the Neste Truck network.

Neste recently launched a renewable diesel made entirely from waste and residues under the brand name Neste MY Renewable Diesel at select service stations in the Helsinki region today, 9 January 2017. During January, sales of Neste MY will also expand to select Neste Truck stations for heavy traffic in Finland.

After a steady decline from 2010 to 2016, by almost 22 grams of CO 2 per kilometer (g CO 2 /km), average emissions from new passenger cars increased in 2017 by 0.4 grams more than in 2017. This is the first increase in average CO 2 emissions from new vans since the regulation came into force in 2011, following a sharp decrease in 2017.

The magnitude of the change in energy efficiency could as be similar as when we moved to LED lights from traditional incandescent light bulbs.

The ICCT paper shows data for 24 Euro VI buses and trucks, some tested on a chassis dynamometer by the Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT), and others tested on-road using portable emissions testing equipment by the German type-approval agency KBA. —“NO x emissions from heavy-duty and light-duty diesel vehicles in the EU”.
