People might be bored reading about the Prius but a review on four Priuses (2004, 2005, two 2006s) that my family owns that ran a total of 913k km (570k miles) should be interesting, right? We need to go back to November 2017, to the start of the ‘Prius Revolution’ in the family. This criteria only left the Prius in play.

So, it’s finally here: the hybrid Toyota Prius that will now do what people have expected the Prius to do all along. Available to order now, the Prius Plug-in arrive in showrooms on 9 July, to give extended electric running of nearly 15 miles instead of 15 seconds without the whining petrol engine kicking in [.].

It doesn’t make its debut until next week’s Frankfurt Motor Show, but we’ve got the inside scoop on the new Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid Concept. Over longer distances the Prius Plug-in becomes a conventional petrol-electric hybrid and with this extended range, carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions are reduced to around 60g/km according to Toyota.

Here in the UK we’re so downtrodden by extortionate petrol prices that the prospect of driving fuel efficient green cars carries obvious appeal.
