A tightening of company car tax thresholds introduced this week should help boost sales of the lowest emission cars in the UK. Cars must now emit 130g/km of CO2 or less to benefit from the most generous level of capital allowance of 18 per cent against new car purchases, reduced from 160g/km CO2.
