The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and Verizon announced that Verizon has replaced 234 of its existing gasoline-powered vans with hybrid-electric vans for use in New York City. The 234 new Verizon vans feature technology installed by XL Hybrids, Inc., The 234 Verizon vans are Chevy Express 2500 models.
