Hi, I have 2 controllers, I need to get the 1253-8001 working for my conversion build. I can connect and read/change config settings fine. But the same cable/software won't connect to the 1253-8001. I created a frankenstein serial cable and it works fine with the 1205M-5601. Any ideas? I'm scratching my head here.

It has been suggested I connect to the OBD and record CANBUS data from my car and that from a car that has not been altered and feed. I have my 1965 Ford Falcon on the road with a 2021 Mustang Mach-e drive system (battery pack, rear motor/ suspension assembly, HVAC, ABS, on board charger , touch screen etc. ) I t runs and drives just great!

My professional life has kept me busy, but I still have made good progress on my conversion. For tachometer, I will be using a sensor ring on the second shaft end of the motor connected to a new instrument. First, someone on the forums has offered to sell an adapter from one of their former conversions. I have yet to see photos.

Well I'm finally going to get around to installing a WarP-Drive 160/1000 motor controller package in our 97 S10 EV conversion. Our EV Solutions 97 S10 EV conversion was originally completed in the Spring of 2007. The WarP-Drive Interface Unit easily connects to the controller though the CAN bus using a common Cat5 network cable.

Can anyone explain to me in simple terms why most conversions keep the gearbox and use an adapter plate to bolt on the electric motor ? I get that it's probably simpler for alignment etc.,
