PowerCell signs development contract for 3.2 MW maritime fuel cell system with Havyard Group

PowerCell Sweden AB signed a contract with Norwegian Havyard Group ASA for the development of the design and the technical specifications for a zero-emissions fuel-cell system. The international maritime organization, IMO, has decided to halve the emissions of Greenhouse Gases from commercial ships by 2050.

Akasol manufacturing Li-ion systems for Daimler Citaro electric bus; Samsung cells

The leading European bus manufacturer plans to launch its new electric Citaro bus ( earlier post ) at the IAA Commercial Vehicles event in September. Akasol opened a series production plant for commercial vehicle battery systems in Langen (Hessen, Germany) in autumn 2017. The facility has a yearly capacity of up to 300 megawatt hours.
