Volvo Cars has published a lifecycle analysis report on its second fully electric car, the C40 Recharge, which shows the potential CO 2 reductions if a car is built and charged using clean energy sources. Clean energy is also an important factor in reducing the carbon footprint involved in producing an electric car.

Volvo Trucks and Bucher Municipal have now entered into a collaboration to electrify sewer cleaner trucks. Bucher Municipal is expecting that up to 80 sewer trucks, or 50% of their production of cleaning vehicles, will be zero exhaust emission trucks from Volvo by the end of 2023. —Volvo Trucks President Roger Alm.

Volvo Trucks has signed a letter of intent to sell 1,000 electric trucks between now and 2030 to Holcim, one of the world’s largest building solution providers. The deal is the largest commercial order to date for Volvo electric trucks; the first 130 trucks will be delivered in 2023 and 2024.
