Vans face 175g/km CO2 cap

The European Commission has today proposed tough new CO2 cap for vans at just 175g/km of CO2 or at least 42.8mpg by 2016. Vanmakers would pay a penalty for every gram of CO2 over the limit. There would also been a long term emission reduction target of 135 g/km by 2020.
