Cadillac will soon be an electric automaker, but before it’s got some tricks left before it makes the leap completely. Three new colors are available: Typhoon Metallic, Drift Metallic, and Deep Space Metallic. The engines, long considered some of the best around, remain unchanged for 2025.

Cadillac is expanding the availability of Super Cruise to an additional 70,000 miles of compatible, divided highways in the United States and Canada. This expansion will make the true hands-free driver assistance feature available on more than 200,000 total miles of compatible highways by the fourth quarter of 2019.

There were four different paint colors available, representing the colors of the American flag plus one more for good measure. And that figure represented just half a percent of Cadillac’s sales in 1953. Only 458 were produced.&

We discussed the engineering underneath 1953’s trio of high-end halo convertibles from Buick, Oldsmobile, and Cadillac last week. In the middle of the grille was the Cadillac crest and supporting V ornament, both of which were finished in gold plating for all 1953 Cadillacs.&

A 1970s desire on the part of Cadillac dealers for a two-seater to compete with the Mercedes-Benz R107 plus fierce intra-GM political battles led to the development of a couple of interesting two-seat designs that hit American roads during the late 1980s. One was the Cadillac Allanté , while the other was the Buick Reatta.
