Audi begins construction of first North American plant

Daimler contracts with Valmet to increase production of new A-Class

Daimler has signed an agreement with the Finnish Supplier Valmet Automotive for the production of more than 100,000 units of the new A-Class ( earlier post ) for Daimler from 2013 through 2016. Market launch will be in mid-September. We will even switch to three-shift operations in Rastatt this fall.
