These cleaner cars use the same roads, highways and bridges as their internal combustion engine counterparts. Urban and coastal types with high-MPG cars and smug EV grins? Despite cars getting ridiculously large and heavy, the sales of hybrids and EVs have skyrocketed. But they consume less or no gasoline. This is the pickle.
