Nestlé Waters North America’s is deploying more than 400 additional medium-duty beverage delivery trucks fueled by propane autogas. AT&T plans to invest up to $565 million as part of a long-term strategy to deploy more than 15,000 alternative-fuel vehicles over the next 10 years. The new deployments will bring AT&T’s alternative-fuel fleet to more than 15,000 vehicles by 2019.

DHL Express has added 100 more pickup and delivery vans fueled by propane autogas to its fleet. The new alternative fuel vehicles join other propane vehicles already operating for DHL Express in Ohio, Tennessee and Louisiana.

“We’re 100% used EVs and hybrids,” said Robert Beas of Beas Auto Sales , noting that he displayed a pre- owned Prius Prime, Mitsubishi Outlander, Hyundai Sonata, Chevrolet Volt, and Ford C-max plug-in hybrids at the event. They had hired a research firm to go talk to people who were active in alternative fuel vehicles.

These grants are provided through the Energy Commission’s Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Vehicle Technology Program. Users of New Leaf fuel include the US Navy, and the cities of San Diego, Oceanside and Chula Vista. The Energy Commission is also awarding $1,074,000 in buy-down incentives for 46 alternative-fuel vehicles.
