California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced the first comprehensive list of 244 proposed renewable energy projects that could produce up to 69,925 MW of clean energy annually. Currently California facilities produce just more than 8,000 MW of renewable energy annually.

The US Departments of the Treasury and Energy announced the availability of an estimated $3 billion for the development of renewable energy projects around the country. Eligible types of renewable energy propertires inlcude: Large and small wind. This direct payment program allows for an immediate stimulus in local economies.
