EIA: Almost all US renewable diesel is consumed in California; most isn’t made there

Oregon was the only other state where renewable diesel was consumed in 2021, but it accounted for less than 1% of the US total. Oregon requires petroleum diesel fuel sold in the state to be blended with either biodiesel or renewable diesel. Other states have various biodiesel laws and incentives.

USDA to award $11M loan guarantee to Oregon biorefinery

Novus is working with an Oregon lender, Old West Federal Credit Union, to finance the project. The biorefinery will be built on land owned by the Port of Morrow, one of the largest ports in Oregon. USDA has financed projects in Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina and Oregon.
